Yardwaste stickers are required for yardwaste that does not fit into the black lid waste cart. The exception being during the 6-week period in the spring and the 6-week period in the fall when brown paper yardwaste bags are collected separately and composted. Note: Bundles of brush require stickers at all times. Brush bundles are not included in the free unlimited yardwaste collection periods.
Yardwaste stickers are available for purchase and must be used at times outside the spring and fall weeks of free separate yardwaste collection. If you want yardwaste picked up that does not fit in your waste cart you will need a yardwaste sticker for each brown bag or bundle of twigs and branches.
Please read the rules on the sticker for proper placement. For the current price of the stickers, click here. The year issued is printed on the sticker. The sticker color changes annually. Stickers are valid for that year and the following year.
Sticker Instructions:
- Adhere sticker to all paper yardwaste bags.
- Adhere sticker to the twine used to secure bundles of sticks.
- Acceptable items: grass clippings, garden plants, twigs, Christmas trees, branches that are less than 4 feet long and 2 inches in diameter.
- Bundles should be securely tied with string or twine.
- Bundles should weigh less than 30 pounds.
- Yardwaste bags should weigh less than 40 pounds.
- How to use sticker: adhere to a clean and dry yard waste bag. Place sticker side toward the street or wrap it around bundle branches.
